Chair yoga allows you to stay seated to practice yoga poses and gentle movement, along with breathing and meditation techniques to help you feel calmer and more connected/present. It is a very accessible class suitable for anyone especially those who may have health conditions, mobility issues, disabilities, injuries or just prefer a more gentle form of yoga :) Time for chat and connection as well. Ideal for complete beginners or those who have dabbled in yoga a little before - this workshop will help you learn a set of basic poses (asanas) as well as some of the fundamental elements that make yoga more than a fitness class.
We will practice breathing techniques to help find calm in yoga but also everyday life. Lots of individual feedback and support provided through the workshop to leave you feeling confident to join one of my local classes.
I am committed to making yoga as accessible as possible but please contact me if you have any medical or mobility conditions that may affect your practice, before booking a space.

Treat your body and mind to this beautiful gift of time to unwind, slow down and take care of yourself.
December is often a busy time with Christmas and New Year celebrations, come January we are often depleted and in need of some rest and calm to start the year off with good intentions of self-care and self-love. Our morning will begin with a flowing practise to ease into the new year with gentle movement to warm the body and shake off January blues after the Yang excitement and festivities of December. We will practise some deep Yin Yoga poses to counter physical fatigue and mental overwhelm that can happen at this time of year and think about setting kind-to-the soul intentions for the first few months of the year.
We’ll have a break and enjoy some tea, treats and time to talk and connect with others (if you wish to) and move into restorative yoga - getting cosy, warm and snug in deeply relaxing poses supported by bolsters, giving you the time to truly rest, rejuvenate and recharge your body and soul. We will end with Yoga Nidra, known as Yogic Sleep, to bring ultimate calm and peace.
