Deeper Dimensions of Yoga
*The Alchemy of Autumn*
Saturday 24th October
Watts Hall, Uxbridge
9.30am-12.30pm
Amanda is looking forward to welcome you to a morning of turning and tuning inwards for a Deeper Dimensions of Yoga mini-retreat. She is also thrilled that Sabina will be joining us to offer you a sensational gong bath towards the end of our gather.
- Amanda will be guiding your yoga practice, with most of the morning dedicated to our asana and pranayama practice (movement and breathing)
- As always, asana is accessible for all levels, playful, explorative, guided and supported for you to work within own limitations and challenges.
- We will consider progressive warming, preparatory asana towards our own inversion practice (upside down postures) - in whatever form they take for you on the day - from restorative and supported inversions to shoulderstand, headstand and others.
- Yoga is not yoga without the breath as our foundation for all we move through in our practice (pranayama).
- Our pranayama practices will invite balance to our nervous system, guide our movements into, during and out of asana, yet help us ignite our energy and lift our spirits.
- Time will be offered to share in some sacred cacao if you wish to join us. If you have enjoyed it before you will know that it has a beautiful way of helping us connect inwards, for me it has a way of connecting me more deeply to my heart. If you haven't tried it then maybe this is your time. Made lovingly with plant milk.
- We will then move into a meditative space and let the alchemy of the asana, pranayama, sounds, energy, cacao and connection invite us to explore a guided practice with Amanda.
- Sabina then will share about a gong bath experience before guiding us into a deep rest and then connecting with her gong to send healing vibrations throughout the space and to journey through our body to awaken our mind, body and soul.
- We will spend some moments to sit and close our circle of gathering for the 'Alchemy of Autumn'.
