We look at different models that explain the feeling of overwhelm. Understanding why we respond the way we do is the first step to change.

How often do you feel that you can't concentrate? Your mind is racing from one thing to the next. Or perhaps you feel lacking in energy, unable to do even the simplest of tasks. These are some of the signs of overwhelm.

We often feel overwhelmed - perhaps our stress levels are really high, adrenalin is pumping, our minds are in over-drive. Or perhaps we feel flat out - exhausted, and emotionally low. We feel like this in our everyday lives, but this has perhaps been exacerbated by the current situation, which has been so difficult to navigate.

In our 4-week course we will look at different models that explain this feeling of overwhelm. Understanding why we respond the way we do is the first step to making changes. We'll also share some mindfulness practices that can be helpful in us responding a little differently to the difficult situations we find ourselves in.

The four-week course costs £40 to attend, with reduced rate spaces for anyone who would not otherwise be able to afford to come. This also gives access to a handout after each session. Please note that this session will be held on zoom.

Over the fours weeks, we'll be exploring: our comfort and overwhelm zones; mindful gauges; our threat systems and we'll look at expanding our ability to self-soothe.

This course starts on Tuesday 1st July: 7-8pm and runs for four consecutive weeks. Susie from Pause & Breathe will be the facilitator.
