Enjoy a fun and relaxed afternoon learning the basics of wet felting and create a wool fibre bowl to fill with your treasures.

Felt making is the most ancient form of fabric creation and harnesses the fabulous natural qualities of wool along with water, soap and friction to make soft, tactile yet sturdy objects.

It’s very forgiving and endlessly inspiring to work with, and once you have learned the basics you imagination is your only limitation.

In this workshop, you’ll be guided to lay out colourful wool fibres in layers over a resist to create a 3 dimensional bowl which you can later embellish at home.

This workshop is being held on Saturday September 14th from1-5pm. It's £48 per person to attend, this includes all materials and everyone gets something to take home that they've made.

No experience needed, all supplies, tools, references and printed take home instructions are provided

Your instructor, Shirley Torrance, is a textile artist and expressive arts facilitator with 20 plus years experience who loves sharing the magic of felt making.
