-Enter building thru front doors and make your way to skate counter to check in and/or rent skates.

-Put skate on inside lobby and immediately head onto ice.

-Once your skates are off and you and your group are done skating, we ask you exit the building immediately.

-Exit the building thru the northwest corner door inside the arena.

-Return skates to skate counter.

-Masks must be worn in the building at all times.

-Player benches will be closed during public skate.

Michael Nodler was born and raised in Michigan in the Detroit area. He has been coaching hockey at the AAA level and teaching stickhandling for the better part of the last 30 years.


This clinic will be a preview of the camp to come this summer, July 12-15th. 2009-2014 birth years allowed with at least one year of playing experience.


The clinic will focus on the most important skill to becoming a better hockey player and that is STICKHANDLING. The introduction clinic will target

• Quality Instruction

• Stickhandling Mechanics

• Demonstrations

• Dribbling

• Fakes

• Introduction to basic moves (advanced moves in summer session)

• Shuffle Stride

• Repetitions

• FUN!!

This clinic will build the players confidence with body contact appropriate to their age level. Focus areas will be:

  • Skating control which leads to body position and angling so players learn to minimize time and space for the opponent.
  • Stick Checking, poke checking, lifting and locking the opponents stick.
  • Teaching players how to reasonably lean into each other to gain possession of the puck.


While each clinic week has a specific emphasis, we will continue to work on the fundamental skills of skating, edgework, passing, shooting, and stickhandling each week.


Clinics will also include small area games where players learn to apply the skills they learned in game-like situations.
