An Invitation to Slow Down
As the seasons change, nature reminds us that letting go is part of the natural rhythm of life. The leaves loosen their grip, fall away, and make space for what comes next.
At this busy time of year, take a pause from the pace of September and join Eavan Byrne for a deeply nourishing 90-minute Yin Yoga workshop.
Through a gentle, harmonising Yin practice, we’ll explore the benefits of slowing down and staying a little longer. Yin Yoga works with the deeper connective tissues of the body, encouraging us to release tension, cultivate a calm and present mind, and restore a sense of balance and harmony.
We’ll also explore lateral breathing, bringing our awareness to the movement of the breath through the body and developing a deeper connection with the diaphragm and the muscles involved in breathing.
Our Yin sequence will focus particularly on the neck, shoulders, back and abdominal muscles, exploring how these areas are connected to our ability to breathe freely and efficiently.
Through a combination of supported poses, mindful breathing and stillness, we’ll invite the nervous system to settle and allow the body to soften.
In Yin, there is nowhere to rush to. We support the body, relax the muscles and allow gravity and time to gently deepen each pose.
This workshop is perfect for you if…
No previous Yin Yoga experience is needed. Come as you are, make yourself comfortable, and give yourself 90 minutes to slow down, breathe and let go.
And after a long, blissful Shavasana, you can expect to float home.
Nature has so much to teach us as the seasons change — if we can simply slow down enough to notice.
