As we move through autumn towards winter, many of us notice a desire to slow down. Yet the demands of daily life can make it difficult to find the time and space to truly rest.
This ten-week programme offers an opportunity to explore what becomes possible when rest is given a regular place in our lives. Through Yoga Nidra, short rest practices, reflection and discussion, we'll spend time developing a relationship with rest and noticing what it has to teach us.
The programme unfolds through four stages, with a fortnight devoted to each theme:
For each stage, you'll receive a Yoga Nidra recording and a shorter rest practice to use throughout the fortnight. Some days you may have time for a longer practice, while on others the shorter version may fit more easily into your day. The intention is to make rest a regular part of life and to notice what unfolds as a result.
You'll also receive a "rest prescription" for each stage – practical invitations to explore ways of bringing more rest into everyday life.
We will meet fortnightly to reflect on the previous stage, share insights and experiences, and introduce the theme for the fortnight ahead. Each session will include a guided rest practice. Sessions will be recorded, so if you cannot attend live, you'll be able to catch up in your own time.
This is not about doing it perfectly. There may be days when you miss a practice, or weeks when life feels particularly busy. The invitation is simply to return when you can and remain curious about what rest might offer you.
As the darker months approach, this programme provides an opportunity to build a foundation of rest, self-awareness and resilience that can support you through the season ahead.
You will continue to have access to the Yoga Nidra and rest practice recordings after the programme ends.
