In this session participants will be encouraged to explore mindful eating. The session is not about dieting or judging. Its just about noticing.
The session will invite participants to take part in a guided mindful 'tasting' of a choice of various snacks. During this they will be encouraged to self reflect on
the experience. Participants will then be invited to share their experience of eating mindfully. There will then be a chance to take part in a guided meditation around mindful eating.
The session will close with an invitation to have the usual cup of something and to try to drink it mindfully!
Christine Muirhead from Vision Wellbeing will be the facilitator for this session.
This session is being held on Friday 27th March 10-11.30am, in The Place to Pause & Breathe, Bonnybridge.
These sessions are free, as they have been funded by Falkirk Communities Mental Health & Wellbeing. They are designed to support participant's overall health and wellbeing, increasing community connections and reducing loneliness. Although they are free, please only book in if you are definitely attending as numbers are limited. Meet Your Facilitator:
Christine is a retired Social Science lecturer who worked at Forth Valley college,West Lothian college and in the local community since 2001.During that time Christine had the chance to teach well-being skills to staff and also her students.
Christine has been a mindfulness practitioner and facilitator as well as a Clinical Hypnotherapist since 2005. Christine realised the benefits of using these skills in her own life and is enthusiastic about sharing this knowledge with others. This led to her forming Vision Wellbeing following her retirement from college.
