A self-soothe box is a personalised collection of items that can help you during times of stress, anxiety, or emotional overwhelm. It is designed to support you in finding a sense of calm and help you think more clearly when difficult feelings arise. They provide comfort and support when things feel especially overwhelming. When we're struggling or feeling distressed, it can be difficult to think clearly, remember what helps, or know what to do next. A self-soothe box is there to help you slow down, reconnect with yourself, and create space to choose a healthier way of coping.
In this Pause and Breathe Wellness Group session, we will explore the purpose of self-soothe boxes and create our own personalised box to take away and use whenever we need it. Together, we will identify things that bring comfort, promote calm, and help us feel grounded during difficult moments.
Your self-soothe box may include:
There is no right or wrong way to create a self-soothe box. Everyone's box will look different because it is personal to you and based on the things that help you feel safe, supported and able to cope.
We hope you will leave the session with a practical wellbeing tool that you can turn to whenever life feels overwhelming, reminding you that small steps can make a big difference.
Caroline Thom will be the facilitator for this session.

Meet Your Facilitator:
Most of you will know Caroline fairly well as she has attended sessions at Pause & Breathe for a while. She says "I've struggled with my mental health and feeling overwhelmed throughout my life. I've found the community here to be accepting and supportive and this has helped me discover ways to support my wellbeing". We hope the session will provide tools to help the participants feel less overwhelmed, even if that's just from having a chat and cuppa with the group.
Please give the names of everyone you are booking for.
