NBD0326 Management of Neurogenic Bowel Dysfunction - 26th March 2026

Management of Neurogenic Bowel Dysfunction:

This training is specific to neurogenic bowel dysfunction in patients with spinal cord injury and will include an overview of the anatomy & physiology of the bowel, including how spinal cord injury affects the bowel. It covers management strategies , bowel care programmes, simulation (practical demonstration with mannequin) . RGN’s who complete this course are encouraged to engage in supervised or peer supported clinical practice for a minimum of 3 cases afterwards.

Closing date for applications is five working days prior to course date. You must be a registered nurse in either a community or hospital setting.

Details: Courses run from 10.00am – 1.00pm via MS Teams; cost is €100.00 per delegate

Delegates: Suitable for all registered nurses in both hospital and community setting

Accreditation: 3 CEUs from Nursing and Midwifery Board Ireland NMBI. Assessment of clinical competency to be achieved locally.
