Duration: 4 Hours of Drumming Tuition 10am - 3pm with 1 hour lunch
Experience: Your ticket to THE 7 ESSENTIALS, loads of craic and mingling galore!
Skill Level: Participants will need to have a basic understanding of drumming techniques
So it has been 3 months since our last accelerator... (where did that go?) and the time has come around again.
I was trying to think what might maximise people's skill set and I am delighted to announce that we will be studying all things technique for this one.
Anyone that knows me knows that I think feeling the rhythm and playing the drums is waaaaaaaaayyyy more important than getting overwhelmed and bogged down in the "nitty gritty". However, so many of the Drumadore adult legends have expressed an interest in learning how to hold the sticks properly and learn the very basics of posture etc.
I am only more than delighted to deliver a workshop based on just that! Don't worry, I will doll it up with fun exercises, craic, a lunch hang and giant jams but I will be getting into what I call: "The 7 Essentials". Basically all other rudiments are built of just 7 pillars. It's be all singles, diddles, doubles, taps, rebounds, flams etc etc etc.
It's nice to address it like this away from the weekly classes cause we can and will have time to get into the weeds.
Looking forward to seeing you all in Campbell's again for another day of fun drumming!!!
"The 7 Essentials" will guide you through fundamental techniques, stick control, and posture, all wrapped up in a day of enjoyable drumming, camaraderie, and giant jams. Don't miss out on this chance to elevate your drumming skills in a fun and engaging environment!
