Hatha Yoga

10am sessions are in Killinkere Leisure Centre (GAA grounds) - A82 H9F6. The class is upstairs in the gym.

7pm sessions are in my home studio - A82KV66

Important notes at end so please read full desciption before booking.

This (mat based) class blends traditional Hatha yoga with modern movement principles and practices to support a strong, adaptable, and resilient body and nervous system. It prioritizes:

  • quality of movement over the aesthetic of a shape
  • activating muscles to support your joints over jumping into your end range
  • moving with awareness over rushing through shapes

You’ll practice:

  • Traditional Hatha yoga sequences, held and explored with intention
  • Breathwork and nervous system regulation techniques to support focus, calm, and energy balance
  • Mobility flows to improve joint health, range of motion, and functional strength
  • Dynamic sequences to stimulate fascia hydration and promote fluid movement

What you can expect in class:

  • A slower, deliberate pace that allows time to feel what you’re doing and why
  • Movements that build strength and range gradually, with joint health and longevity in mind
  • Clear cues and thoughtful transitions
  • Breath-led movement that helps you find more depth, control, and ease—both in stillness and in flow
  • Space to tune into your body’s signals, learning when to soften, when to stay, and when to explore a little more.

Overall, these classes can challenging at times, building strength in new ranges (and mental strength) isn't always easy but you are always supported with options to soften, skip and modify if you ever feel like you're reaching your limit. Expect to move from kneeling, reclined, prone and standing positions frequently within each class. Each class offers options and modifications so you can meet the practice where you are. If something feels challenging, there will be supportive alternatives. If you’re feeling strong and curious, progressions will be offered so you can safely explore greater intensity or complexity.

This is a practice of moving with awareness—applying just enough effort to meet your needs in the moment. You’ll be encouraged to observe physical sensations, breath, and energy levels, helping you develop trust in your body’s cues and confidence in your choices.

This class is ideal if you’re looking to:

  • Build strength and mobility without rushing or overloading your body
  • Move in a way that feels intelligent, nourishing, and sustainable
  • Improve body awareness and nervous system regulation
  • Feel more grounded & resilient

No need to be “advanced” or super flexible—just curious, open, and willing to move with intention & presence.

Men, women and non-binary welcome.
