Vinyasa translates to flowing with breath. This class is a dynamic and creatively sequenced class which links breath to movement. We will be flowing through asanas (postures), designed to build strength, flexibility and mind-body awareness. Each class starts with a gentle warm up, followed by heat building and body opening movement and finishes with a cool down and guided relaxation. This class is an all levels class with modifications and variations provided for all levels throughout the class.
Expect slow and gentle breath centered movement. This class focuses on stretching out the body, cultivating mindfulness and soothing the nervous system. We will stay low to the ground throughout the class as we release tension, unwind and relax. This class will provide a full body stretch including forward folds, hip openers, twists and gentle backbends. Classes will start with pranayama (breathing exercises) and finish with a guided savasana (relaxation).
