Come and Kick off the weekend with me! Bending and brushing off the dust of the week, finding the space for a fresh new you to slink into Saturday with. Whether it's to chill or to turn up, blasting out the old to make space for the new, through a series of breathing exercises, stretches, and balances. Connecting with your breath and body is essential Saturday morning content.
Come bend and breathe it out with me on your Thursday lunchtime! Break up the day with some meditation, open up your body, shift the stagnant energy that gets built up through the day, and focus the mind with some bodyweight training and balancing. Taking the time out of your day to listen to your body and let it work things out for itself... With our mind out the way!
While bends with benefits focuses on strengthening and lengthening muscles, and building stability and strength, Get Yin To It (yin yoga) targets our deep connective tissues, like fascia, ligaments, joints, and bones. It’s slower and more meditative, giving you space to turn inward and tune into mind, breath and cultivate deep interosception. Because we hold poses for longer, Get Yin To It helps you stretch and lengthen those rarely-used tissues while also teaching you how to breathe through discomfort and sit with your thoughts.
The practice of yin yoga is based on ancient Chinese philosophies and Taoist principles which believe there are pathways of Qi (energy) that run through our bodies. By stretching and deepening into poses, we’re opening up any blockages and releasing that energy to flow freely. BASICALLY giving ourselves some acupuncture!
Come and welcome in the day with a smooth movement meditation. Setting intention, breathing and bending the body back to life after sleep.
