Join us for some asana, meditation followed by a yoga nidra practice in honour of the full moon. Yoga Nidra offers a chance to relax deeply, giving our bodies, minds and hearts some much needed nurturing and healing.
What is Yoga Nidra?
If you have never experienced Yoga Nidra, (or yogic sleep as it is commonly known), is an immensely powerful meditation technique, and one of the easiest yoga practices to develop and maintain. As you rest comfortably in Savasana (corpse pose), this systematic meditation takes you through the Pancha Maya kosha (five layers of self), leaving you with a sense of wholeness. It is an amazing, beneficial practice that not only promotes relaxation and deeper awareness but also subtly helps you to move through unconscious habits.
Bring your mat, blanket and props (e.g. cushions, bricks and blocks, eye mask).
