Summer Solstice Yin Yoga Workshop~ Sun 18th June 6-8pm
A yin yoga workshop exploring the high point of summer.
The session will begin with Pranayama (breathing practice), Pratyahara (focusing inwards) & Mediation - sitting with the breath to find stillness within.
Summer is the time of fire, flow and expression. It is also the time when we often over-extend our energy by trying to do too much! In this workshop, we will look at slowing down, focusing on long holding of yin stretches to find some stillness and calm in the body and mind.
We will focus on the heart center and heart lines ~ opening up through the front of the body with gentle supported backbends and finding some space in the shoulders and thoracic spine.
Workshop will end with a lovely long yoga Nidra and some mantra work.
