MINI RETREAT WORKSHOP

In this workshop we will go on a journey together where we will release built up tension in the muscles and connective tissues through asana (yoga) practice. We will rebalance our mind through the power of pranayama (breath work) and through the practice of meditation we will help to calm and focus our mind. Finally, will lie down and be guided on a relaxation journey to leave us feeling calm and relaxed through the powers of yoga nidra (yoga sleep).


Below is a little more detail of what to expect from each section of the retreat:


Asana practice

Vinyasa Flow to get the body warmed up followed by a slower pace of postures (mainly seated) aimed at calming our nervous system. This is great if your body is very stiff or you are holding a lot of stress or anxiety in your body.


Pranayama

The power of the breath is very much underestimated and breathing consciously is so beneficial to our longevity. In this second part of the workshop we will begin practicing simple breath techniques and building up to retaining the breath (Antara Kumbhaka).


Meditation

Learning the art of meditation which is actually not as difficult as people think. The most difficult part of meditation is finding the time to meditate! In this 3rd part of the workshop, we will learn a couple of simple techniques that you can follow at home.


Yoga Nidra (Guided relaxation)

In this final part of this workshop we will be lying down and getting super cosy as we will be going on a guided journey together.


So who this is aimed for?

This mini retreat is aimed at anyone who wishes to press their reset button. You may be very tired at the moment and would like to gain back energy. Maybe you are interested to learn new techniques to top up your existing practice or maybe you are completely new to all of this and want to dip your toe in the yoga waters. Whatever your reasons, if you would like to do something nourishing that will leave you feeling rejuvenated, relaxed and wholesome again then why not join us?
