In Ayurvedic tradition, water is the element of winter. In Yin Yoga, the kidney meridian is associated with the water element.
In December's Yin Yoga practice, we will choose poses that target this meridian line in the body, stimulating chi flow, restoring vitality and realigning body, mind and soul.
Yin yoga is a slower paced, meditative practice. Floor based poses are held for several minutes targeting a specific part of the body. Rebound between the poses creates space for integration, clarity and stillness.
Practice will finish with a relaxing savasana and time for journaling and herbal tea.
