With the support of bolsters, blocks and blankets, we'll target deeper tissues in the body including the fascia, tendons and joints to ultimately increase mobility reduce stiffness and increase circulation.
Yin yoga is about moving very slowly and becoming familiar with stillness. In holding the specific poses for longer periods of time, we can also start to release physical and emotional blockages - we welcome anything and everything that comes up and use our breath to connect deeper within.
Through Yin yoga and calming relaxation we will shift from fight or flight to rest and restore, giving our nervous system time to rest.
